What is the Civil Service Rainbow Alliance (CSRA)?

CSRA is the cross-departmental network group that represents and supports lesbian, gay and bisexual staff in the Civil Service.

CSRA works in collaboration with a:gender, the corporate staff network for staff who have changed or need to change permanently their perceived gender, or who identify as intersex. Together we seek to support transsexual, transgender and intersex staff.

Who is in CSRA?

CSRA is made up of representatives from Government Departments and their agencies, LGB&T network groups. All LGB&T members of staff within the Civil Service are able to become members of CSRA.

In addition CSRA welcomes non LGB&T colleagues as associate members.

What is the CSRA Executive?

The CSRA Executive comprises eight members who work to ensure progress CSRA’s objectives between plenary meetings of CSRA. The roles on the Executive cover three key areas: policy, administration and the four strands of LGB&T.

Who attends CSRA meetings?

CSRA meetings are usually attended by the co-ordinators of departmental network groups. If they are unable to attend then network co-ordinators are encouraged to send another member of their departmental network
